36,000-square-foot cancer center coming to Portland metro region

Oregon Health & Science University isn't the only player building new cancer facilities in the Portland metro region.

Compass Oncology, which already has six facilities in the area, has broken ground on a 36,000-square-foot multi-disciplinary center near Southwest 72nd Avenue and Southwest Dartmouth Street in Tigard. The center, the third such one for Compass, will employ about 80 people, including 12 oncologists who will see patients there.
