Support Group for Young Adult Cancer Survivors

This group gives young adults affected by cancer the opportunity to share their experiences in a supportive environment. Social Workers from Compass Oncology will be present to facilitate conversation and address questions about emotional issues and coping strategies. 
• Get support designed to meet the unique needs of young adults with cancer.
• Connect with other young adults who are currently in treatment and post treatment.
• Get updates on activities, resources, and services designed just for young adults.

Journal to the Self Workshop

Women’s Cancer Support Group

Compass Oncology and Pink Lemonade Project have partnered to offer a support group to give women cancer survivors an opportunity to talk with others who are facing similar challenges in a safe, welcoming environment.

Oncology social workers will be present to facilitate the conversation and to answer any questions. 

This support group is for all women cancer survivors. You can choose to attend any session or all of the sessions.

  • January 14 – Coping with Changes in Relationships after a Cancer Diagnosis
  • February 11 – Intimacy and Sexuality
  • March 11 – Managing Emotional Distress
  • April 8 – Living with Concerns of Recurrence
  • May 13 – Managing Life as a Whole
  • June 10 – Embracing Vulnerability
  • July 8 – Body Image Changes

Compass Lung Resources (CLiR) Group

PLEASE NOTE: THE LUNG RESOURCES SUPPORT GROUP IS ON A TEMPORARY HIATUS AND WILL START UP AGAIN IN THE SPRING. DATE TBD. 

This support group will give people affected by lung cancer the opportunity to share their experiences in a supportive environment with others who are facing similar challenges. Clinicians from Compass Oncology will be present to facilitate the conversation and to answer any questions you may have about physical or emotional issues, treatment side effects, and coping strategies. All lung cancer patients and their loved ones are welcome to attend.

Brain Tumor Support Group

Clinicians from Compass Oncology will be present to facilitate the conversation and to answer any questions you may have about physical or emotional issues, treatment side effects and general coping strategies. All brain tumor patients and their loved ones or caregivers are welcome to attend.
