Women’s Cancer Support Group

Compass Oncology and Pink Lemonade Project have partnered to offer a support group to give women cancer survivors an opportunity to talk with others who are facing similar challenges in a safe, welcoming environment.

Oncology social workers will be present to facilitate the conversation and to answer any questions. 

This support group is for all women cancer survivors. You can choose to attend any session or all of the sessions.

  • October 14 – Joyce Koerber: Cancer Prevention
  • November 11 – Tracy Webb: Cancer Care in the Older Adult
  • December 9 – Coping with Holiday Stress

Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk Support Group

This group supports those affected by hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers.

Do you have a family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer? Have you tested positive for a BRCA mutation? Are you considering genetic testing? You are not alone.

FORCE (Facing Our Risk Of Cancer Empowered) exists to improve the lives of individuals and families facing hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers. Join Compass Oncology and local area FORCE representatives for a support group discussion.

Guest Speaker: Lina, a tattoo artist specializing in areola restoration at Studio Meraki in Portland.

Reiki is a simple, natural, safe method for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. In conjunction with other medical or therapeutic techniques, Reiki enhances outcomes, relieves side effects, and promotes recovery.

Survivorship Group Visit: The Power of the Mind

Join us for a discussion on mindfulness meditation and learn to harness the power of your mind! In this educational discussion, you will learn what mindfulness meditation is as well as the proven benefits in cancer care and overall health. In addition, we will walk you through a guided meditation and provide you with ways to continue practicing at home. We look forward to seeing you there!

Support Group for Young Adult Cancer Survivors

This group gives young adults affected by cancer the opportunity to share their experiences in a supportive environment. Social Workers from Compass Oncology will be present to facilitate conversation and address questions about emotional issues and coping strategies. 
• Get support designed to meet the unique needs of young adults with cancer.
• Connect with other young adults who are currently in treatment and post treatment.
• Get updates on activities, resources, and services designed just for young adults.
