Dr. Windler is a palliative medicine physician who has trained in internal medicine and pediatrics. With his specialized training, he is able to partner with our patients to assist with the symptoms and stress that can be a part of cancer and its treatments. He is passionate about connecting with patients, families, and the rest of the oncology team to build customized plans that focus on each patient's individual goals, needs, and values. His background in pediatrics gives him a unique perspective on how illness can affect an entire family and it has helped him stay friendly, approachable, and lighthearted. When you meet with Dr. Windler, he will do everything he can to help you feel better, understanding that it might require adjusting medications, modifying a treatment plan with your oncologist, recommending a procedure, or simply allowing his patients to tell their story and be heard.
Outside of work, Dr. Windler enjoys exploring his new home in the Pacific Northwest along with his partner and their dogs. He loves to try new restaurants and then attempts to recreate his favorite dishes at home with varying levels of success.
