Biography
Dr. Babicky became a surgical oncologist so she could use her knowledge of medicine and science to help patients at a critical and vulnerable time.
Dr. Babicky has a strong background in basic science research, with an emphasis on signal transduction pathways and immunology in pancreatic and bile duct cancers.
Dr. Babicky’s favorite part of her work is spending time with her patients who come from all walks of life, and getting to know them on a very personal level. She enjoys chatting with them about their experiences, their challenges, and their accomplishments. She believes there is nothing greater than receiving an update that her patients are out enjoying the world and doing well.
Dr. Babicky settled in Portland, Oregon with her family in 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alan, who works as a civil engineer for ODOT. She has two headstrong children, Will and Olivia, and can often be spotted at a soccer, ice hockey, or baseball game. She plays piano and enjoys running with her dog, George, as well as swimming, cycling, and hiking.
