Biography
Dr. Bice’s main draw to Oncology and Hematology is the privilege of caring for people with challenging diseases. Cancers and blood disorders can be confusing and overwhelming. He is passionate about helping patients understand and navigate the complex treatments and rapid updates in our field. Dr. Bice highly values shared decision-making with his patients to ensure their priorities are respected.
“The thing I hear most from my patients is that I communicate well and listen to them. It has been very personally rewarding to assist people in finding hope and dignity even in the toughest situations.”
Dr. Bice joined Compass because there is a clear culture of support and compassion for all dimensions of patient care here. It is also very important to him that we can offer our patients access to a wide selection of cutting-edge clinical trials.
Outside of work, Dr. Bice is a runner, a foodie, and an avid nonfiction and sci-fi/fantasy reader. He has lived and worked all around the country, and loves traveling. Dr. Bice also likes to spend quality time with his partner Chris, his family, and his cat Roscoe.
