Biography

Virginia Hill is an oncology social worker and an active member of the Compass Survivorship team, facilitating group meetings to help patients transition back to life after cancer. She sees her role as two-fold. One is to be a resource to help with the practical needs of her patients. The other is to be a support person for patients and families who want more. A cancer diagnosis often leads to a feeling of being out of control. Virginia provides a safe place to talk about those feelings, to understand how normal they are and to collaborate on ways to manage them to regain a sense of control. Virginia’s goal is always to help patients figure out what would be most supportive for them and offer that support, respecting their needs and wishes.

In her spare time Virginia enjoys being outside in nature, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
