Biography
“With genetics, if we can catch cancer early or prevent it from happening at all, we have the opportunity to change a person’s path.”
Lisa Clark is a Nurse Practitioner with a special focus in genetic risk evaluation and testing. She has worked in oncology nursing since 2001 but it was her work with ovarian cancer patients that inspired her passion for genetic research and its power in cancer prevention and risk reduction. Genetic risk assessment is a complex process and Lisa’s goal is to make the information understandable, to answer questions and give her patients the facts they need to make to make an informed decision about testing. She works with her patients on risk management plans such as more frequent screenings designed to catch things earlier when treatment is most effective.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys hiking, the outdoors and hanging out with her two dogs.
